Camping in Madeira means being a guest in some of Europe's most precious natural areas. These are the rules of the house, as set by the regional forest and nature conservation authority (IFCN).
Remember: wild camping outside the official sites requires a permit.
Do not collect or damage the plants or disturb the animals
Only make fire in the appropriate places
Do not damage or destroy the leisure equipment and infrastructures at your disposal
Respect Nature, avoiding behaviours that may disturb the environment
Before leaving the place, put out the fire, making sure that the embers are completely extinguished
Do not leave garbage lying around — place it in the appropriate places
Camp only in authorised sites
